Position Description
Ανάπτυξη καινοτόμων ενάγγειων οστικών μοσχευμάτων, οστεογενή και αγγειογενή διαφοροποιητική ικανότητα κατάλληλων κυτταρικών πληθυσμών, τρισδιάστατη εκτύπωση οστικών ικριωμάτων, μηχανικές ιδιότητες των βιοϋλικών και ικριωμάτων, in vitro και in vivo βιοσυμβατότητά τους.

Required Qualifications
- Πτυχίο ή/και Μεταπτυχιακό στη Βιολογία ή σχετικό πεδίο φυσικών επιστημών και μηχανικής (π.χ. Βιοϋλικά, Βιοχημεία)
- Εμπειρία σε μεθόδους κυτταρικής και μοριακής βιολογίας
- Εμπειρία στην αγγειογένεση, καρδιαγγειακή και οστική μηχανική ιστών και αναγεννητική ιατρική
Desirable Qualifications
- Εμπειρία σε μεθόδους βιολογικής αξιολόγησης υλικών και ιατρικών συσκευών
- Δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή περιοδικά με υψηλό δείκτη απήχησης

Fereniki Moschogiannaki is an M.Sc. student in the master program
“Biomedical Engineering’’ at the Department of Medicine at the
University of Crete in Greece. She graduated from the Physics Department
of the University of Crete in 2020. In 2018, she joined the “Ultrafast
Laser Micro and Nano Processing” Group of the IESL, FORTH for her
Internship. She did her bachelor thesis, titled “Laser Microfabrication
of Porous Collagen Scaffolds for Biological Applications”, in
co-operation with the Neural Tissue Engineering Laboratory. Her current
research interests include bioengineering, biofabrication, biomaterials
and regenerative medicine.

Maria-Christina Velli is a PhD candidate at the Department of Physics, University of Crete, Greece. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Master’s Degree in “Advanced Physics”, from University of Crete, Greece, in 2016 and 2018 respectively, with her graduate thesis being in Astrophysics. In 2019, she joined the “Ultrafast Laser Micro and Nano Processing” Group of the IESL, FORTH. Her current research includes the development of machine learning algorithms and how they can be used to optimize the time consuming and costly nature of experiments and simulations, in ultrafast laser materials processing.
