Required Qualifications
- Πτυχίο Φυσικής ή Χημείας

Desirable Qualifications
- Εμπειρία στην ανάπτυξη νανουλικών και διατάξεων
- Εμπειρία σε τεχνικές φυσικοχημικού χαρακτηρισμού υλικών

6 monthsThe project “European Innovative GaN Advanced Microwave Integration” (AGAMI_EURIGAMI) covers the complete supply chain for Gallium Nitride (GaN) starting from epitaxy up to the component packaging and integration in modern electronic defence systems. The project focusses on the improvement of the technology and of the resilience against electrical and environmental threats. The final GaN components and devices will demonstrate an improved performance and protection of the devices in harsh environments.

The project “Novel 3D heterogeneous integration for future miniaturized power RF Transceiver front ends” (POWERPACK) will develop disruptive technologies for miniaturised RF chips for high frequency and high-power operation, and will focus on miniaturisation and 3D integration. The outcome will be a reduction in transmission losses, and will result in two demonstrators. These demonstrators will operate in the X-Band and in the Ka-Band. The devices will allow for integration in platforms where the components will need to ever be smaller and lighter.

The project “Smart, Heterogeneous Technological Platform Extending the Power and Frequency Limits of Flexible Nanoelectronics” (POWERFLEX) proposes a disruptive solution for high power and frequency conformal antennae based on novel flexible GaN power amplifier, Carbon nano-tube based low noise amplifier and flexible RFMEMS technologies and their 2D monolithic integration.

Quantum aspects of atom-light interaction have been among the central issues in physics since the early days of quantum mechanics. Recent technological breakthroughs have transformed the light-atom quantum interface to a powerful tool for performing measurements with unprecedented accuracy. In this talk I will outline recent work in my group that aims to study and eventually harness quantum features of the light-atom interaction for precision sensing.
