
A major task of my endeavour relates to operating the Insitutional cryogenic facilities involving the helium and nitrogen liquefiers, as well as providing technical support in the research labs.

Kostas Hatzigiannakis is a Physicist with an MSc degree in Applied Physics. He is a research engineer at IESL-FORTH since 1998. His activities concentrate on the development and applications of laser and imaging systems for diagnostic purposes with emphasis in the field of heritage science. Currently, he is in charge of the Multispectral Imaging applications activity for non-invasive analysis of heritage objects and monuments. He also manages operational and administrative research projects in the PhoHS group.
Over the years he has participated in major national and EU projects at IESL-FORTH including IPERION-HS, PROTEAS, CALLOS, E-RIHS, HELLAS-CH, POLITEIA-I and II, HERACLES, MultiEncode, IPERION-CH, Climate for Culture, CHARISMA, SYDARTA, PROMET, LASTOR, MOBILART.
