Position Description
The researcher is expected to perform high-level, competitive research on the development and optimization of experimental holographic interferometry methods, aim-targeted experimental design, development of instrumentation procedures and methodologies, analysis, post-processing and interpretation of holographic interferometry data and modeling with emphasis on applications in structural diagnosis for items of cultural heritage. This research will be conducted in the context of a highly cross-disciplinary project, iPhotoCult, aiming to develop and establish high technology portable instrumentation for the restoration and conservation of Cultural Heritage. The project joins together major centers of research.
Required Qualifications
- PhD either in Applied Sciences, Physics, Engineering, Photonics or relevant field
- Experience in lasers, optics, and experimental physics
Experience especially in holography and holographic interferometry data analysis will be highly appreciated
Knowledge of Thermography and other Non-Destructive Testing tools is advantageous
Desirable Qualifications
- Strong background and experience in experimental physics, instrumentation development/testing and methodology development
- Previous post-doctoral experience advantageous
- Ability to conduct independent, original research in an interdisciplinary context
- Competence in English (written and spoken)

Μία Θέση Μεταδιδάκτορα στο Εργαστήριο Ηλεκτρονικών Πολυμερών και Βιοηλεκτρονικής: Σύνθεση οργανικών αγώγιμων μορίων και πολυμερών για την ανάπτυξη ηλεκτρονικού δέρματος (e-skin)
Αναζητούμε έναν/μια μεταδιδάκτορα για να αναλάβει τη σύνθεση νέων πολυμερικών υλικών, με εφαρμογή στην ανάπτυξη ηλεκτρονικού δέρματος, σε ερευνητικό έργο χρηματοδοτούμενο από το ΕΛΙΔΕΚ. Συγκεκριμένα το άτομο που θα επιλεγεί θα δουλέψει πάνω στη σύνθεση και στον πολυμερισμό οργανικών αγώγιμων μορίων, καθώς και στον φυσικοχημικό χαρακτηρισμό των υπό ανάπτυξη υλικών.

Ο/Η υποψήφιος/α αναμένεται να εφαρμόσει προηγμένες τεχνικές φασματοσκοπίας λέιζερ με στόχο την ανάπτυξη καινοτόμων μεθόδων για την ανάλυση και τον χαρακτηρισμό υλικών και την διάγνωση προβλημάτων σε βιοϋλικά. Επίσης ο/η υποψήφιος/α αναμένεται να συμβάλει στην ανάπτυξη και εξέλιξη φασματοσκοπικών μεθόδων λέιζερ με σκοπό το χαρακτηρισμό βιοϋλικών.

Required Qualifications
- Διδακτορικό στις φυσικές επιστήμες (Φυσική, Χημεία, Επιστήμη Υλικών ή συναφή πεδία) (30%)
- Υψηλού επιπέδου γνώση και εμπειρία στην εφαρμογή πειραματικών μεθόδων μελέτης και ανάλυσης υλικών (20%)
- Αποδεδειγμένη εμπειρία στη χρήση φασματοσκοπικών τεχνικών ανάλυσης υλικών (π.χ. Raman, FT-IR, Απορρόφηση, Φθορισμός, LIBS, SEM-EDS, XRF, απεικονιστικές τεχνικές κ.α.) (20%)
Desirable Qualifications
- Ερευνητικό / επιστημονικό έργο μετά την απόκτηση του διδακτορικού (επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις και παρουσιάσεις σε συνέδρια με αντικείμενο σχετικό με το έργο) (10%)

Position Description
Development of novel perovskite-based materials or/and other relevant semiconductors for the detection of environmental gases and Volatile Organic Compounds, (VOCs) in breath. The work involves the synthesis of materials and also the design and fabrication of the set-up for the gas detection. Quantum, degenerate clouds of ultra called atoms will be manipulated, using magnetic lenses in a way that resemble closely the manipulation of photons by glass lenses.
