Mr. Petrakakis Manolis

E. N. Petrakakis is a PhD Candidate in Applied Theoretical Laser – Matter Interaction Physics at the Dept. Material Science & Technology of Univ. of Crete under the supervision of Dr. Tsibidis George. He received his M.Sc. in Advanced Theoretical Physics from University of Crete in 2016. He has been a Temporary Associate Researcher in the A&M Texas University of Qatar in 2017. He has been a scientific collaborator and short temporary visitor to the Lasers, Plasmas and Photonic Processes (LP3) laboratory in Aix – Marseille University at France.

Mr. Maragkakis Giorgos Miltos

George Miltos Maragkakis is a PhD Candidate at IESL-FORTH and the Department of Physics, University of Crete. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physics in 2016, and his Master of Science in “Advanced Physics” in 2017, from the same Department. In 2018, he joined the Ultrafast Laser Micro and Nano Processing (ULMNP) Laboratory at IESL-FORTH, led by Research Director Emmanuel Stratakis, where he is conducting his PhD on 2D Materials and Multiphoton Microscopy.

Mr. Livakas Nikolaos

Nikolaos Livakas is a MSc. Candidate at the Materials Science and Technology department at University of Crete, Greece. He received a BSc degree in Material Science from the University of Crete, Greece in 2018. During the undergraduate program, he joined the Ultrafast Laser Micro- and Nano- Processing Group of IESL-FORTH for bachelor thesis entitled ”Omnidirectional Iridescence via Cylindrically-Polarized Femtosecond Laser Processing”. Mr. Giannakidis Giannis

I am a physicist (UoC 2020) currently working on a MSc at the Department of Materials Science & Technology of the Universoty of Crete, carrying out the research work of it at the Dynamics Group of IESL-FORTH. 

My research focuses on building a Time-Resolved Electron Diffractometer, investigating chrial molecules with Photoelectron Circular Dihroism and probing fuels with spectroscopy.
