Development of tailored, electroconductive bioengineered scaffolds for neural tissue regeneration

In ReNew we propose innovative bioengineered microenvironments fabricated from biocompatible, electroconductive materials via electrospinning to mimic the interfibrillar ECM network and stimulate neural tissue repair. The proposed functional scaffolds, based on their chemical composition and structural attributes, will be evaluated for their potential to enhance the necessary growth and differentiation parameters that promote remyelination using in vitro and ex vivo approaches.
