Mr. Gkikas Giannis

My research training, on the grounds of an MSc degree in Nanotechnology for Energy Applications, entails the growth of complex halide perovskite single crystals and understanding of the role of cation dynamics in their emerging dielectric properties.

MSc is being carried out at IESL-FORTH in collaboration with the Dept. of Materials Science and Technology of the Univ. of Crete, and it is entitled “Single-crystal Growth of Hybrid Halide Perovskites and Investigation of their Lattice Dynamics”; degree awarding Institution, Hellenic Mediterranean University (Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering).

Education

  • 2021, B.Sc. Materials Science and Technology; University of Crete, Greece

Interests

  • hybrid halide perovskites
  • single crystal growth
  • impedance spesctroscopy
  • crystallography
  • structure dynamics
