Georgios Neofotistos obtained his Ph.D. in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics from Temple University (USA), joining afterwards the Electrical Engineering Department of Purdue University (USA) as a post-doctoral researcher, the Physics Department of Temple University as a visiting Assistant Professor, and the Physics and Space Sciences Department of the Florida Institute of Technology (USA) as an Assistant Professor of Physics and Space Sciences, before returning to Greece. Since 2013 he is Senior Researcher with the Center for Quantum Complexity and Nanotechnology of the Physics Department of the University of Crete. His research work focuses on developing advanced machine learning methods and computational models toward the study of non-linear complex systems.
