A Postdoctoral fellow position is open within the European project NANOSMART ( https://project-nanosmart.com/ ) the focus of the project is to develop next generation integrated electronics based on 2D materials and Carbon nanotubes for high frequency analogue circuits such as wireless communications and Radar applications.
What we offer: The group is an academic environment (coexisting with the University of Crete) with several students working in the lab and strong connections to companies and SME's across Europe. (https://www.iesl.forth.gr/en/research/MRG_flatland) There is an existing network of collaborators exchanging material and device samples across Europe funded by several ongoing European projects. The group also has direct access to a full range of microelectronics clean room facility and is able to process devices based on Carbon nanotubes, Graphene and Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) as well as traditional semiconductors. We also have an in house extended range of electrical and structural characterization equipment. We offer a full time, 1 year experimental Postdoctoral fellow position with possible extension upon mutual agreement.
What we are looking for: A candidate that is willing to work in close collaboration with existing team members towards fabrication, characterizion and optimization of various device types including FETs and sensors based on CNT and TMDC technology. The focus will be at least initially be on measurement and characterization. Although scientific progress is the primary goal the group is typically working on deadlines to meet project driven demands. The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical measurements and or basic integrated electronic devices characterization. Prior experience in experimental work in microelectronics characterization would be an asset. High frequency measurements (VNA) would also be beneficial although not required.
