Position Description
Ο/Η υποψήφιος/α αναμένεται να εφαρμόσει προηγμένες τεχνικές φασματοσκοπίας λέιζερ με στόχο την ανάπτυξη καινοτόμων μεθόδων για την ανάλυση και τον χαρακτηρισμό υλικών και την διάγνωση προβλημάτων σε βιοϋλικά. Επίσης ο/η υποψήφιος/α αναμένεται να συμβάλει στην ανάπτυξη και εξέλιξη φασματοσκοπικών μεθόδων λέιζερ με σκοπό το χαρακτηρισμό βιοϋλικών.

Required Qualifications
- Διδακτορικό στις φυσικές επιστήμες (Φυσική, Χημεία, Επιστήμη Υλικών ή συναφή πεδία) (30%)
- Υψηλού επιπέδου γνώση και εμπειρία στην εφαρμογή πειραματικών μεθόδων μελέτης και ανάλυσης υλικών (20%)
- Αποδεδειγμένη εμπειρία στη χρήση φασματοσκοπικών τεχνικών ανάλυσης υλικών (π.χ. Raman, FT-IR, Απορρόφηση, Φθορισμός, LIBS, SEM-EDS, XRF, απεικονιστικές τεχνικές κ.α.) (20%)
Desirable Qualifications
- Ερευνητικό / επιστημονικό έργο μετά την απόκτηση του διδακτορικού (επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις και παρουσιάσεις σε συνέδρια με αντικείμενο σχετικό με το έργο) (10%)
- Εμπειρία στην ανάπτυξη εργαστηριακών πειραματικών διατάξεων και οργανολογίας (10%)
- Εμπειρία στη χρήση χημειομετρικών/στατιστικών μεθόδων και εργαλείων επεξεργασίας αναλυτικών/φασματοσκοπικών δεδομένων (10%)

The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser of the Foundation for research and Technology Hellas (IESL -FORTH), in the framework of the project FORGREENSOFT, (Call: HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ACCESS-03, GA 101078989), Funded under CSA - Coordination and support action, is seeking to recruit one (1) post-doctoral researcher.
Job Description
The project aims in the development of novel computational methodologies involving hierarchical approaches across scales an incorporating hydrodynamic interactions to study the flow of colloidal gels. A key aspect is the transfer of knowledge from partner institutes (Univ. of Vienna and Georgetown University) and its implementation in systems of common interest such as colloidal gels with emphasis on biosourced sustainable colloidal systems such as cellulose and lignin suspensions, experimentally studied within FORGREENSOFT. The computer simulations performed will allow for effective hypothesis testing, parameter space exploration, and formulation optimization. The new capabilities will allow for integrating AI approaches and experiments with practically relevant constraints. The candidate will work on codes, analytical tools, and predictions from models after that will be devoted to integration of experimental data and predictions for real materials.

Position Description
The post-doctoral Researcher will work on the fabrication of polymeric nanocomposite materials with multifunctional properties varying from photocatalytic devices to heating insulators for buildings and constructions, following the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing technique. Moreover, he/she will be responsible for the characterization of the 3D printed samples using FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy, X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and Thermal conductivity analysis.

Μία Θέση Μεταδιδάκτορα στο Εργαστήριο Ηλεκτρονικών Πολυμερών και Βιοηλεκτρονικής: Χαρακτηρισμός οργανικών αγώγιμων μορίων και πολυμερών για την ανάπτυξη ηλεκτρονικού δέρματος
Αναζητούμε έναν/μια μεταδιδάκτορα για να μελετήσει νέα πολυμερικά υλικά, με εφαρμογή στην ανάπτυξη ηλεκτρονικού δέρματος, σε ερευνητικό έργο χρηματοδοτούμενο από το ΕΛΙΔΕΚ. Συγκεκριμένα το άτομο που θα επιλεγεί θα δουλέψει πάνω στην επεξεργασία και στο φυσικό χαρακτηρισμό οργανικών αγώγιμων πολυμερών. Έμφαση θα δοθεί στο χαρακτηρισμό των μηχανικών ιδιοτήτων των υλικών αυτών.

Design, fabrication and characterization of novel SiC electrodes for minimally invasive monitoring of the
nervous system. Characterization of electrode performance and long-term stability. Design,
implementation and analysis of experiments to characterize the performance of electrodes (readings,
stimulation) in neurocultures (in vitro) and in the nervous system (in vivo). This project is funded by the
FORTH Synergy grant “BioHySiC” and will be carried out in collaboration with IMBB-FORTH.
Required Qualifications
