Abstract

For the 1st Vibration (Low level survey):

1. For Low level survey (~ 0.1g, sine sweep with resonance search from 2 kHz down to 20 Hz) on 3 axes acc. IEC 60068-2-6. The rate of frequency change (4 octaves/min) though it is not recommended for this test. It is recommended < 1oct/min (optimal 0.5 oct/min). Standard (IEC 60068-2-6 par. 8.2)

For the 2nd Vibration (Intermediate level sweep -3 dB of qualification level):

5-100Hz, qualification level is from 0.2g to 3.5g. sweep rate: 4 octaves/min (recommended 1oct/min as per IEC 60068-2-6 Par. 4.1.6

For the 3rd Vibration (Intermediate level sweep at qualification level):

5-100Hz, qualification level is from 0.2g to 3.5g. sweep rate: 4 octaves/min (recommended 1oct/min as per IEC 60068-2-6 Par. 4.1.6

For the 4th Vibration (Intermediate level sweep at qualification level):

8g RMS at a random spectrum between 20-2000 Hz.

Further to frequencies, slope and overall performance, ASD (acceleration spectral density) and break points are also required to define a random Vibration.

As per IEC 60068-2-64:2008+A1:2019 Spectrum A.4 Table A.8 – Break points for spectrum: equipment in airplanes and helicopters category 1d (Reference specification RTCA DO-160D)

The costs are to include setup and adjustment procedure costs, adaptor jigs from the existing inventory as well as unaided visual integrity inspections, data analysis, and test reporting costs.

All tests must be concluded by September 25.
