Job 1 (master student)
The successful applicant will be working as a research student, designing and testing fiber optical bread boards for space applications.
Job 2 (research assistant)
The successful applicant will be working as a research assistant, designing and testing fiber optical bread boards for space applications. The work will involve the use of professional electronic programs (Zemax) for the design of optical systems. An analysis of the dependence of the signal on various optical parameters will be performed. The resulting optics will be tested and implemented in the laboratory. They will then be incorporated on the existing experimental facility. Finally, the results will be analyzed and the breadboard further optimized.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in design and implementation of fiber - optical systems (20%)
- Experience in diode lasers (15%)
- Experience in optical measurements (15%)
- Excellent knowledge of the English language (5%)
Desirable Qualifications
- Programming skills for data acquisition will be beneficial, esp. LabView (25%)
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment (20%)
- Experience in computing (Python and C) (10%)
