Theoretical AMO Physics at IESL: An overview of research activities, recent results and prospects

In this talk I will give an overview of my research activities in the field of Atomic, Molecular and Optical (AMO) physics, which span a broad range of topics in three major cross-disciplinary thematic areas:  interaction between radiation and matter, ultracold quantum gases, and quantum information processing. Subsequently, I will discuss recent results on the emerging field of short-wavelength (XUV, X-ray) quantum optics,  as well as on the engineering of quantum networks.
