Position Description
The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser of the Foundation for research and Technology Hellas (IESL-FORTH), in the framework of the project « Optical Quantum Controlled generation of Bose‐
Einstein Condensates», OQC, is seeking to recruit one (1) research assistant position.
Job Description
The successful candidate will contribute to Optical Detection of Ultracold Atomic Ensembles.
Develop, implement, and optimize an optical setup for measuring the polarization rotation of light interacting with an ultracold atomic ensemble. The work will focus on improving detection sensitivity, minimizing technical noise, and implementing data-acquisition and analysis procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physics
- Experience in experimental research involving optics and light–matter interactions
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with data acquisition and experimental instrumentation
- Experience in experimental atomic spectroscopy
- Fluent in English
