Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team, FORTH-IESL, Photonics for Heritage Science, and share activities and responsibilities in the context of the ECHOES project, GA 101157364. The position involves responsibility for -integration and testing of software tools and services of the Cultural Heritage Cloud (ECCCH) in the context of the ECHOES project. - managing scientific data in robust and scalable information systems that integrate data from multiple sources, including textual, image and spectral data. Familiarity with data management and automation tools is required to optimise data workflows. Data modelling with semantic representation is also required.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Physics or Computer Science or Computer Engineering with expertise in some of the following fields: Data Science, Data Processing, Web Services, Information Modeling and Semantic Representation of Knowledge 
• Proven skills in Open Science and application of the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible,Interoperable, Reusable) in multi-disciplinary scientific fields. 
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Javascript, Python, R, HTML/CSS, SQL, MATLAB.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous work in RTD projects. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Skills to deliver tutorials and documentation: Provide tutorials and documentation to users on system functionalities, data workflows, and best practices to ensure effective utilisation of information systems
• Previous experience with software tools evaluation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data analysts, and stakeholders, to understand requirements, gather feedback, and implement system enhancements 
• Experience in the design and development of user interfaces
