is an integrating activity project carried out in the FP7 Capacities Specific Programme Research Infrastructures. The project supports access to most advanced EU scientific instrumentations, including mobile facilities, and to expert knowledge and know-how, allowing scientists, conservators-restorers and curators to enhance their research opportunities.
IESL-FORTH is a member of CHARISMA along with another 21 European Institutes and CH organizations from 10 EU member states.
In the framework of CHARISMA, the Photonics for CH group at IESL
has been active in developing of innovative instrumentation and methods for diagnostics and conservation, but also in training
young scientists and conservators on the use of such novel tools.
