Our second BEC machine is now working like a charm, producing condensates of up to 300.000 atoms with a cycle time of less 30s. We have used them to make a novel atom laser.  In the future, we going to use our large condensates to look at the kinetics of the condensation process itself. We also plan to study the rise of coherence in phase-fluctuating condensates.  (PhD Scholarships available!)
