TRAVEL INFORMATION
General
You can reach the cities of Heraklion or Chania through direct flights from major European cities, or from Athens by plane or daily boat service.
Transport to Rethymnon will be either by the school shuttle (schedule to be announced later) or, at all other times via intercity public buses or by taxi.
Athens Airport
Athens is served by the El. Venizelos International Airport. Connecting flights to Crete can be arranged through Aegean Airlines or Olympic Airways
Athens (Pireaus) Port
The port of Pireaus can be reached from Athens airport either by taxi or Public Transit. There is a daily boat service to Rethymno, Chania & Heraklion harbours by regular passenger car ferries.
School Shuttle transportation
There will be a school shuttle leaving from Heraklion airport to Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel. Details will become available.
All early arrivals can use the Storage facility at the International Terminal of Heraklion airport.
Public bus departure time schedule and fares
The public bus to Rethymnon runs approximately every half hour from Heraklion bus station for East Crete. You can see

Taxi Fares
Taxi: From Heraklion Aiport to Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel ~ EUR 60-65 this is by far the simplest means to get to the hotel
Taxi: From Chania Airport to Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel ~ EUR 55-60
