Announcement
In the framework of the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network (ITN)
“Ultrafast control of quantum systems by strong laser fields” (FASTQUAST)
we are organizing during 25/9 – 27/9/2009, in Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel, Rethymnon, Crete, Greece
a summer school on topics related to the research pursued in the ITN.
Topics to be covered are:
- Principles of generation, amplification and propagation of ultrashort lasers
- Coherent control
- High harmonic generation and attosecond physics
- Molecular alignment
- Cold matter
The school will consist of tutorial courses and seminar talks by leading scientists
in the field.
The school will be preceded by a two day Network workshop (23/09 and 24/09) in which progress reports will be presented by members of the Network. All school participants are most welcome to attend this workshop as well.
